Day 14 Shopping

Before breakfast I walked up to the Castle to try and get some sunrise photos. I still hadn't realised the extent of the security measures in Britain. Yes I did notice the army jeep at the entrance but I did not expect to be challenged from behind by a machine-gun toting commando as I was looking away from the Castle toward the sunrise.
Back to the B&B for a change of clothes!

If nothing else I can say I did my Christmas shopping on Princes St in Edinburgh.
Jenners, Marks & Spencer etc. (I didn't say that's where I made my purchases.)

The "New Town" is just as absorbing as the Royal Mile, particularly the Statues everywhere.
Each one is has a real story behind it.

One thing I had not seen before was an Internet public phone, complete with metal keyboard. Just had to send an email.
